South Kitsap Wrestling Club (SKWC) is a long standing, co-ed youth organization dedicated to offering the South Kitsap community the opportunity to participate in folkstyle wrestling for children ages 5-13 during the winter season, from November to February.
SKWC is located in Port Orchard, Washington. We hold practices and host home meets at Cedar Heights Middle School and will travel to throughout Kitsap or Mason counties for away duals.
Registration for the upcoming season begins in the fall. Generally, returning wrestlers will receive registration priority, and then it opens up to the general public.
SKWC provides an environment that is committed to teaching the fundamental techniques of wrestling in a positive and encouraging manner, instilling the principles of good sportsmanship and teamwork, and to prepare and challenge all wrestlers for matches.
Wrestling teaches resilience and hard work through personal goal achievement, fosters teamwork and camaraderie, and provides a supportive environment for developing confidence and self-esteem. It benefits children physically by building strength, agility, and endurance, while promoting a healthy lifestyle. SKWC helps lay the groundwork for lifelong fitness and personal growth.
